welcome to 45 and fabulous!

i seem to be always in front of the computer most of the day writing email, dabbling with facebook, listening to pandora and tapping on my iPhone that seems to be glued to my hand despite my occupation as a trainer. on november 30th, 2009, i've finally manifested my idea of really getting CYBER OUT THERE and officially 'gave birth' to this blog, '45 and fabulous'.

this will be a forum where i'll share my thoughts, actions, contacts and experiences about being in my mid 40's and feeling and looking better than ever. never in my life have i been more fit, more ripped, sexier and, best of all, wiser. was it just my divorce? i don't think i can give my ex that much credit! that said, i'm experiencing the magic of getting older but better...a truth not often burnished nor an ideal upheld in our youth-crazed world.

being a gym owner, i also see LOTS of other women in this stage in their lives--mothers, divorcees, cougars, MILFS, beverly hills moms...you name it.. but all of them at the prime of their lives-- i'll be sharing and featuring their own ideas, passions, secrets, tricks and tips to staying foxy in their 40s.

ever been to paris and noticed how stylishly hot their older women seemed? think lena olin, charlotte rampling... domestically, i think of women aging not just gracefully but incredibly sexily like halle berry, sarah jessica parker, cate blanchett. i'd like to see this project as a tiny nudge in the right direction of getting our society to look at women at this age group a bit differently.

my virgin post

ok....so i set up the blog but i'll actually write a REAL post sometime tomorrow. the reason is because it's 1011pm and i need to get to sleep. THAT, my friends, is the ultimate secret to staying fabulous in your 40's. one needs to get as much sleep as possible. it truly is the best beauty tip in the book.

good night my new online friends!

i'll check in tomorrow after i feel prettier --> after 8 hours of deep dark sleep.

  1. the addage, "youth is wasted on the young" applies only to those who take their youthful health and fitness for granted and, in so doing, lose it by the time they hit their forties... for those who are willing to maintain a lifestyle of regular exercise, good nutrition, proper hydration and adequate SLEEP....well....they truly embody the best of both worlds: youthful beauty AND the wisdom that only life experience can provide.

inspire on, ms. hottie! between your flawless skin, your taut physique AND your wise, mature noodle, you will inspire MILLIONS!

    XOXO
